Compact Track Loader Attachments
Your best bet for a versatile construction machine that can handle any task from loading to excavating is a compact track loader. These machines make heavy lifting and hauling a breeze, both on the job and at home. You can get a variety of other attachments to allow you to cut into the ground, dig holes, shred materials, and smash through concrete. Attachments are easy to swap out to allow you to easily transition between projects, too.
Find compact track loaders and their requisite attachments along with other UTVs at Synergy Equipment, which has several locations throughout Florida, including Daytona Beach, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Palatka, Pompano Beach, St. Augustine, Sarasota, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and southern Georgia, including Macon and Savannah.
We’re here to answer any questions you might have about the right attachments for the jobs you need to do. Here’s a breakdown of the different types of attachments available for your track loader.
Trenchers & Augers
Need to dig? Augers will let you burrow deep into the ground, using reverse rotation to easily back out, carrying material with them. These big rotating screw blades can cut through hard soil and clay to extract material as necessary. Augers can generally reach depths of 72 inches, but you can get extensions if you need to go deeper. The hydraulic power of your track loader needs to be strong enough to carry larger augers, so make sure to match it.
Trenchers, like their name suggests, cut trenches of varying depth and width into hard ground for a variety of purposes. To reduce shock, the booms are spring-loaded and come with indicators to help you control where you’re digging. 42 inch booms are standard, but you can get trenchers with booms ranging from anywhere between 30 to 60 inches to suit your needs. You can create trenches up to 60 inches deep and a foot wide with these useful tools.
Buckets
Once you’ve extracted material from the ground, you don’t want to load it into a truck by hand. Gone are the days of shoveling dirt into a wheelbarrow! In fact, track loaders were created to haul weighty loads away from sites mechanically instead of by hand. This speeds up the excavation process greatly, as you can imagine. Bucket attachments come in many different options, from the general-purpose bucket meant to haul away up to 20 cubic feet of dirt, rocks, gravel, sand, or other debris. Specialized buckets are available for other purposes, such as hauling away broken-up concrete or snow, or even buckets that sift out rock from dirt.
Mulchers & Cutters
For chopping up wood and other large debris, you’ll want a mulcher, cutter, or shredder. Cutters and shredders are composed of thick high-quality steel with bidirectional blades to shred material with ease. Mulchers cut up even bigger pieces of debris and vegetation for easy disposal. If you’re going to be cutting through thick growth, consider adding one of these handy attachments to your track loading arsenal.
Hammers
Are you looking to really break things up? Hammer attachments are strong enough to tear through concrete. Modern hammers have fewer parts to simplify maintenance and motors that offer more blows per minute for quick and easy smashing of whatever’s in your way.
Spears & Forks
Spears and forks allow you to use your compact track loader to carry large items around construction sites. Agricultural and nursery forks are meant for vegetation and forestry usage, like hauling logs or trees in need of re-planting. If you want to operate your compact track loader like a more stable forklift, get a pallet fork attachment. To transport hay bales, a bale spear gives you precision and visibility of the fork or spear tips while you operate the track loader.
Whatever you’re building, a compact track loader or skid-steer loader armed with the correct attachments can help you clear the path to completion.
